Culinary Poughkeepsie Ny

Best Public Schools in New York?
I wonder if anyone knows the best public schools in the vicinity of Hyde Park, NY? My husband and I are Look him in attenting CIA Culinary Insitute, and we would move up there. Travel to school at least 30 minutes would be ideal ... Sun Hyde Park, Rhinebeck, Poughkeepsie are all areas in the vicinity (I think!)
There are many very highly rated districts in Westchester County, just north of New York City and in the south the CIA. At the top of the list, some very expensive areas such as Scarsdale, Bronxville, Byram Hills and Briarcliff Manor (PO Armonk, Town of North Castle are). Housing gets top dollar and local property taxes are very high. However, there is a real sleeper in a bunch: Pocantico Hills. It is an area, that a vast swath of geography of the west-central part of the County covers and includes portions of several communities, but the city of Mount Pleasant makes it the most. The taxes are very low (for West Chester), since they have a decent commercial tax base (office parks along a commercial strip was at the south end), but the 800 pounds gorilla in the equation is the Rockefeller Well, the largest private estate in a region (Westchester NY and Fairfield CT), that a lot. The Rockies foot much of the liability. There is plenty of affordable Single-family homes housing in the Greenburgh section of the district, but almost no apartments. Another thing that keeps taxes low that the district has no high school. But this is actually an advantage because students can participate HS Briarcliff Manor HS, a very good one. There are many other districts that are safe and affordable. I would recommend Katonah-Lewisboro and Valhalla. They are very technologically advanced. Valhalla is relatively small (1,200 students) and travel to the center of the county, the simplification, for points in all directions, taxes are relatively low, and the district covers parts of three cities. Katonah is located in the northeast part of the community, including pieces from various Cities, but its location makes travel less comfortable, and includes a few villages, the round case were originally developed, such as Lake Resort converted Communities to year, that ever since. Beware the areas in the northwestern corner of the county. Housing prices are low, West Chester, but rates are very high. Once you cross the River there are many other ways in Rockland and Orange Counties as well as in Dutchess on the east side of the Hudson. Orange County is the fastest growing community in New York State, primarily on the expansion of the airport Stewart, a former military base. The housing is quite affordable (comparatively), especially now that there are many new Developments of the last ten years that are missing have been manufactured for the buyer, and regional access (due to the I-84) is better than many areas. Though I'm not faniliar with the schools in this area. It all depends on how much you need to access NYC. If you do, stay on the east side of river. You want not get caught up in a commute that requires crossing a river at peak times, they are always slow and can be expensive. There are two lines (Hudson and Harlem), the NYC connection with points rather far to the north. Good luck.
