    Question: Do organic foods always have the “organic” label on them? In other words How can you be certain that a fruit or veggie is organic when you’re not shopping at an organic food store and the food doesn’t say organic?

    If it doesn’t say that it is organic, then it is NOT organic! :D

    i’m a WLS (wt loss surgery)person, my pouch has practically made me a raw eater…i live on seeds, nuts, veggies, and fruits…(not too much fruit or i’ll dump)…what do you think of JuicePlus+?
    i do eat cheese, shrimp and a milk product….

    I KNOW thats right DAN. I’m a label reader and I see these ingredients with multi syllables. It is a task for me to find the “right” raw food, but its been WORTH it.

    Amazing what is allowed in our food these days. No wonder people aren’t healthy. They just don’t care about the health of people.

    Being a raw vegan is not that simple.. I truly do recommend to read a lot before starting being raw. Mostly about supplements or on which raw foods supply calcium, iron, vitamin B12, zinc…And then about recipes like making raw bread, raw chips, raw cookies, sprouting, soaking, make sauces. BTW.Organic and non-organic foods have the same nutrients. The only reason organic is better is because it has less or no chemicals on it. On the label the first number for organic fruit and vegies will be 8

    I love that you repeat yourself. It cross references and links the basics of raw food eating and healing all the different and many many ailments within the human body. And yes it does come down to the simple basic use of organic fruits and vegtables to both feed and heal your body. What I keep hearing from you is that the more you keep doing the raw and listening to your body and working through the different….

    @PlanetVerdia Actually, they’ve done studies and found that organic produce often has much higher vitamin and mineral content, because conventional are often grown on depleted soils, and part of organic farming is nourishing the soil.

    @PlanetVerdia If the number on the label is 5 digits and begins with “9″ its organic. If it’s 4 digits and begins with “3″ or “4″ it’s conventional. But if it is 5 digits and begins with “8″ you should not buy it because it is GMO. from Nutririon by Janine blog

    were you an overwieght person, and do you have before pictures?
    l started on my raw food 08-02-2010 but gave in because my tummy hurt it felt lik an
    acid burning l also started to belch alot and was gettin hurt burn and usually when that happens l’m hungry so l dashed into the fridge. What do l do in that situation where l feel temptered to want to eat carbs or fried foods . l am really wanting to do this some ideas please??????

    @m333mz don’t be overwhelmed…actually it’s more simple if you think about it !
    no boxed or canned stuff…no meats,etc just uncooked (raw) from the ground foods….there’s actually much less to deal with ..far less

    I wanted to comment about organic foods. Organic foods are 100% better for your body and mind vs. traditional store bought foods. However, unless the food says that it is 100% organic, the USDA requires that the foods be a minimum of 85% organic. Meaning that they can come from non-organic origions. Buy local organic foods if possible and really question your farmers about their farming prinicples and practices.

    @lolamac7 -Did you read the article that was posted last week on MSN about babies in China? Babies between the ages of 1 yr and 15 months are developing breasts. How impossibly scary! Babies developing so quickly is so wrong and it should be a wake up call to society. Stop poisoning our foods!
